But if you get it wrong&#8230; well, be prepared to lose money or keep the house on the market for months.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">So if you want to negotiate like a real estate shark (or at least not lose out), here are <b>the keys to successfully negotiating a sale and purchase.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">????<\/span><b>  1. KNOW THE TERRAIN BEFORE NEGOTIATING <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Whether buying or selling, the first thing to do is <b>research the market<\/b>. You can&#8217;t go into a negotiation without knowing <b>how much homes in the area are really worth.<\/b> <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u2705<\/span> <b>If you buy:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li4\">Research on <b>real estate portals<\/b> how much similar homes cost in the same area.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">See how long the property has been for sale.  <b>If it takes months, there is room for negotiation.<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">Ask about <b>the reason for sale<\/b>: if the owner is in a hurry, that works in your favor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u2705<\/span> <b>If you sell:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li4\">Look at <b>the real market price<\/b>, not what you &#8220;think&#8221; your house is worth.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">Check how many properties are for sale in your neighborhood.  <b>If there are many, be prepared to negotiate.<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">Be clear about <b>the minimum price<\/b> at which you would be willing to sell before starting the negotiation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">????<\/span> <b>Tip:<\/b> Don&#8217;t set or accept prices without first doing your homework.
